The tour lasts approximately one and a half hours. The 80,000-seater stadium was inaugurated in January 1998, during a match where France won 1-0 against Spain, withZinedine Zidane scoring. Later that year, the French team won the Football World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Brazil. In 2016, the team lost 1-0 to Portugal in the European Championship final. The stadium also hosted the controversial 2007 Rugby World Cup final where South Africa defeated England.
In the Stade de France Museum, visitors can see various artifacts from the 1998 World Cup, including jerseys and a trophy replica.
