Activity Overview

We will begin by collecting you from your hotel, and then proceed to the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve. Once we gather our essentials, we will venture along the paths of this remarkable rainforest in Saint Lucia. Picture the immense variety of life this ecosystem holds—let's explore it together!

The hike will commence on moderate trails, allowing us to pause periodically. These breaks provide an excellent opportunity to gaze at the treetops, listening for the chirps and flutters of birds among the branches!

As we journey, we'll have the chance to observe native birds thriving in the preserved environment of Castries Waterworks. Anticipate spotting elegant emerald hummingbirds, Old World flycatchers, Carib grackles, and Ruddy-breasted Seedeaters. If fortune smiles upon us, we may also glimpse the island's national bird, the Saint Lucia amazon. Prepare yourself for a delightful display of their vibrant colors.

We will indulge in a well-deserved tropical breakfast midway through our journey, discussing the rich avian diversity of St. Lucia, home to over 150 species.

Ultimately, we will return to our starting point, concluding a memorable 5-hour exploration through the rainforest.
