Military Garrison + Museum (2.5 hours)

Meet in front of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society. The tour will cover how soldiers lived during the colonial period. Bridgetown, also known as St. Ann's Garrison, served as headquarters for the West Indies Regiment. Significant historical events, including one involving George Washington in 1751, will be discussed while viewing the Military Garrison's cannon collection.

A snack break will be included, followed by a visit to the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, featuring typical plantations and old maps, housing over 500,000 military artifacts!

Schedule: This tour occurs on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 am.

Military Garrison + George Washington's House (3.5 hours)

This option offers a guided tour of both the Military Garrison and George Washington's house. The tour includes the Garrison Savannah Racetrack, used by imperial military personnel and soldiers for horseracing in the 19th century.

Visitors will explore the grounds, including barracks, hospitals, forts, cannon collections, and the areas where George Washington lived, providing insights into the life of the first U.S. president during his time in Barbados.

Schedule: This tour occurs on Wednesday and Saturday at 1 pm.
