Grottes de Betharram: Journey to the Centre of the Earth
This tour takes place at the Grottes de Betharram, located between Pau and Lourdes, on the border between the Pyrénées Atlantiques and the Hautes Pyrénées. Visitors will explore an underground world shaped over thousands of years by water, creating limestone formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. The first stop will be at the upper level, where the diversity of rock formations can be seen. Participants will then descend into the cave's depths, leading to a subterranean river. A boat ride will provide a unique perspective followed by a return on a train to the main entrance.
The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
