Buggy Tour of Boa Vista Island

On this buggy tour of Boa Vista, we will explore dune landscapes and volcanic lands typical of Cape Verde.

Tour Options

There are 3 different options for booking, all include hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, and rental of a double off-road buggy.

The options are as follows:

Tour of Northern Boa Vista (2 Hours)

After pickup, we'll head to the base for buggies and a safety talk. Our first stop will be Ponta do Sol via Via Pitoresca. Next, we will visit Cape Santa María, where a Spanish shipwreck lies. The final stop will be the dunes in the Viana Desert.

Tour of Southern Boa Vista (4 Hours)

This option allows for a longer tour exploring the south of Boa Vista Island. We will visit Praia de Chaves, then drive to Praia de Verandinha and onto Santa Mónica Beach, which is 18 kilometres (11 miles) long. We will also check out the sand dunes and ruins in Curral Velho and the historic Fonte Vicente.

Tour of Death Valley (2 Hours)

This tour will take you to Death Valley and Rabil, a culturally rich town. You will cross Death Valley, discovering an oasis, and end at Fonte Vicente to see the famous baobab tree.

Additional Info

To drive the buggy, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Children aged 3 to 17 may only travel as passengers.
