Description

We will begin with hotel pickup to explore Sal Island, a popular tourist destination in Cape Verde.

The tour crosses the island from south to north, stopping at notable towns. We will first visit Santa Maria, which has transformed from a salt extraction point to a significant tourist hub. If your tour is during October to March, the next stop will be Kite Beach, known for kitesurfing championships, followed by a visit to Murdeira Bay for views of Monte Leon.

Next, we'll go to Espargos, the economic center, and visit Porto Palmeira. In this fishing village, we will stroll through colorful houses and the pier. Lunch will be at a local restaurant serving typical Sal Island dishes, including meat, pasta, and fresh fish.

We will then head to Pedra de Lume, the first village on Sal, to learn about the salt trade and visit its salt flats, known for allowing swimming in a salt lake within a volcanic caldera.

Our next stop is Miragem, a desert with optical effects of water. Afterward, we will visit the Blue Eye natural pool for 40 to 60 minutes of free time to swim, subject to sea conditions, and find the local favorite Love Cellar.

The tour culminates at Shark Bay to see lemon sharks up close.

Finally, after 7 hours, we will drop you off at your hotel.
