Head to the border between Oman and Yemen on this Private Tour of West Salalah. Explore the cities of Dhalkout and Rakhyout and enjoy incredible panoramic views of the southern valleys.

Private Tour of West Salalah

At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Salalah and head west to the town of Dhalkout. The drive in the jeep will take approximately two and a half hours.

Once we arrive in Dhalkout, located on the edge of Dhofar Governorate, we'll explore it by jeep to admire the mountain scenery. We will also visit its beaches, which offer a view of the Arabian Sea.

After this first tour, you'll have an hour and a half of free time for lunch. We'll then return to the vehicle and head to the village of Deem, very close to the border between Oman and Yemen. The village's viewpoint is ideal for admiring the Yemeni hills.

We'll continue to a valley full of frankincense trees, where we'll learn about the area's history and its trade with China and Europe.

Finally, we'll arrive in the city of Rakhyout. We'll visit its beaches along with its fortress and mosque, one of the oldest in the sultanate.

We will conclude the private tour by dropping you back at your hotel.
