La Caravedo Distillery Tour

Pisco is one of Peru's main drinks. We'll learn how it's made in this visit to the distillery La Caravedo, where you'll also enjoy a tasting of this national drink.

Tour Details

We'll meet at the time of your choice at the entrance of Hacienda La Caravedo, where we'll start the guided tour of one of the oldest distilleries in Latin America. Its origins date back to 1634.

We'll begin by visiting the cultivation area, observing the different Pisco vines and their eight varieties: Quebranta, Acholado, Torontel, Albilla, Moscatel, Mollar, Italia, and Negra Criolla.

Next, we will tour the original facilities from 1684, featuring the wine press, press, and falcas, showcasing the artisanal methods of pisco production. Today, La Caravedo distillery is among the most modern in Peru.

At the end of the guided tour, we will enjoy a pisco tasting, which will depend on the type of tour you choose.

Tour Options

During your reservation, you may select one of the following types of tastings. For the 3, 5, or 6 piscos tasting, children aged 5 to 12 will have juice and a biscuit.

Tasting of 3 Piscos (1 Hour)

This includes a tasting of 3 piscos and a can of chilcano soft drink.

Tasting of 6 Piscos (2 Hours)

This option includes a tasting of 6 piscos with appetizers and a chilcano soft drink, paired with cheeses, ham, nuts, and seasonal fruit.

Tasting of 5 Piscos + Lunch (2.5 Hours)

This exclusive option offers a tasting of 5 piscos and a 3-course lunch with various dishes, along with a horse show during the meal.
