Pisco represents one of the quintessential beverages of Peru, and during this journey, you will discover its intricate production process at the distillery La Caravedo. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to savor this iconic drink through a guided tasting session.

Tour Details

Your experience begins at your preferred time at the entrance of Hacienda La Caravedo. Here, you’ll embark on an enlightening exploration of one of the longest-standing distilleries in Latin America, established in 1634.

The tour commences in the vineyard area, where you will encounter various Pisco grape varieties. You will learn to recognize the eight distinct types: Quebranta, Acholado, Torontel, Albilla, Moscatel, Mollar, Italia, and Negra Criolla.

Following this, you will explore the historical facilities dating back to 1684. The wine press, the pressing devices, and the falcas are significant highlights of this section, showcasing the artisanal methods employed in Pisco production. Currently, La Caravedo is recognized as one of Peru's most modern distilleries.

Concluding your guided exploration, you will take part in a tasting of Pisco, the details of which will vary based on your selected tour package.

Tour Options

During your reservation, you may choose from the following tasting options.

Tasting of 3 Piscos (1 Hour)

This tasting comprises a selection of 3 piscos along with a soft drink chilcano. For children aged 5-12, a juice and a biscuit will be provided.

Tasting of 6 Piscos (2 Hours)

This choice allows you to sample 6 piscos, accompanied by appetizers and a chilcano soft drink. The tasting will include pairings with cheeses, ham, nuts, and seasonal fruits. Children aged 5-12 will receive juice and snacks.

Tasting of 5 Piscos + Lunch (2.5 Hours)

The most exclusive option includes a tasting of 5 piscos, followed by a delightful three-course meal at the restaurant, featuring a diverse selection of dishes. Enjoy the added attraction of a horse show during your meal, while children aged 5-12 also receive juice and lunch.
