The Real Pirates Salem Museum allows you to explore the 18th century and discover pirating history through exhibitions and interactive areas. Highlights include artifacts and riches from the Whydah Gally, a pirate ship that sunk in 1717 near Cape Cod, not far from Salem. The treasures remained undiscovered until the late 20th century, enabling you to view genuine artifacts from the Golden Age of Piracy.
Explore the ship's history and tragic shipwreck in various museum rooms, featuring recreations of the ship's interior, torture instruments, cannons, and other displays.
