- 8 - 10 Stunden
- 1 Bewertung
In this bird-watching activity in the Palmas de Cera Sanctuary, we'll see yellow-eared parrots in one of the most famous birding spots in Colombia.
Description
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Salento or Filandia at the indicated time to head towards Pijao, situated in the Eje Cafetero of Colombia.
After traveling, we'll reach the main square, where we will board a 4x4 vehicle to begin our search for the native birds of the Andean Region.
We'll follow a trail through the sanctuary of wax palm trees, Colombia's national tree. This trail, La Palmera, includes various observation points to view birds flying over the palm trees.
Species to see include marail guans, Andean eagles, white-tailed hawks, golden-headed quetzals, and yellow-eared parrots. We will take photographs before heading to a peasant farm for lunch.
After lunch, we will return to the 4x4 and drive back to Pijao. We will conclude the tour returning to Salento or Filandia, approximately 10 hours after pickup.
Tour without pickup
If you choose the option without pickup, please arrive at the meeting point at Plaza Principal in Pijao by 8 am.
