Birdwatching in Santa Rita Natural Reserve

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salento and drive for 30 minutes to the Santa Rita Natural Reserve by minibus. The reserve is known for its varied bird life.

Once we arrive, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast of eggs, arepas, and chocolate or coffee. Afterwards, there will be a brief introduction about the rich biodiversity of the Santa Rita Reserve.

We'll hike about 1.5 miles (2-3 km). During the walk, we may see colorful birds such as the cock-of-the-rock or the multicolored tanager, among others. We will assist you in identifying the different species and share interesting facts about their lifestyles.

Additionally, we'll visit the stunning waterfall of the Santa Rita Reserve, discussing the connection between birds and water.

After 4 hours of hiking, there will be 2.5 hours of free time to explore the reserve further. You can take pictures next to the waterfall, use binoculars to locate more birds, or simply relax.

We will conclude the activity by dropping you back at your hotel after approximately 8 hours of activity.
