Our adventure begins at 6:30 am at Carrera 5 in Salento. There, we will board a 4x4 vehicle to head towards the stunning Cerro Morrogacho Reserve. Are you prepared for an exciting experience?

Upon nearing the Cocora Valley, our journey continues with a four-hour trek through the scenic landscapes of the Colombian Andean forest. This path will immerse us in typical vegetation and lead us past several springs essential for the region's water supply.

If fortune smiles upon us, we might encounter a variety of the 31 bird species that inhabit this area, some of which are endangered. Our knowledgeable guide will share details about these species and help us learn how to identify them.

Upon reaching an elevation of 3,450 meters (11,318 feet) above sea level, we’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Cerro Morrogacho Reserve and the breathtaking natural surroundings. We’ve made it to the summit! This is the perfect moment to capture stunning photographs of the Cocora Valley from this advantageous vantage point.

Following our ascent, we will commence our descent, taking a pause in a tranquil area to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch.

As we make our way back down the valley, the excursion concludes with a return to our original meeting point in Salento around 5 pm.
