Day 1: Salento - Cocora Valley

Pick up from a hotel in Salento at 5 am for a transfer to Cocora Valley in a 4x4 vehicle. Hike 18 kilometers (11 miles) through rocky terrain with Quindio wax palms, moorlands, and cloud forests to an altitude of 1800 meters (5905 feet), resting at finca La Primavera for the night.

Day 2: Cocora Valley - Arenales

After breakfast, hike an 8-kilometer (5 miles) route with a climb of up to 790 meters (2592 feet). The environment will become increasingly humid, revealing moorlands and sandy areas inhabited by local birds. Reach an altitude of 4400 meters (14435 feet) and rest at the Arenales campsite.

Day 3: Arenales - Cañon Hot Springs

Following a breakfast, ascend to the summit of the Tolima volcano at over 5200 meters (17060 feet), with views of other volcanoes such as Ruiz, El Cisne or Santa Isabel. Enjoy photography opportunities of the area before descending to the thermal springs of Cañón and resting at the campsite.

Day 4: Cañón hot springs - Ibagué

The final day includes an 18-kilometer (11 miles) trek starting from Cañón hot springs, passing through Vancouver and Bombona lakes, and the Amberes valley to Palomar. End the trek and board an all-terrain vehicle to Ibagué, arriving around 5:30 pm.
