Quimbaya Bamboo Raft Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salento to start our trip to the municipality of Quimbaya in a comfortable all-terrain vehicle.

Upon arrival, we will meet with the guide to begin the route along the La Vieja River. An explanation on how to sit on the typical bamboo rafts, similar to those used by the indigenous peoples of Colombia, will be provided.

The adventure consists of a four-hour trip during which we will enjoy the landscapes and fauna of the Quimbaya region.

Halfway through the route, we will stop at a family farm for lunch. We will enjoy sudado montañero, a typical dish from Quindío made of potatoes, yucca, plantains, beef or chicken, and salad.

After lunch, we will continue the tour while sharing different stories about the region.

At the end of the bamboo raft ride, we will return to Salento, arriving around 2 pm.
