Paestum Temples Trip and Mozzarella Factory

Visit one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Italy: the ancient Greco-Roman city of Paestum. This fantastic trip will also take you into the valley of the Piana del Sele to discover how the delicious mozzarella is produced.

Paestum Temples Trip and Mozzarella Factory

At 8:00 am, we will meet at the port of Salerno before driving south to the archaeological site of Paestum, about 50 minutes away.

We will begin a guided tour of this World Heritage city that symbolizes Classical Antiquity. The legacy of the Greeks and Romans allows for an immersive journey through history.

During the tour, we will discover perfectly preserved Doric style temples, including the shrine to Hera, dating back to the 6th century B.C. We will also visit the National Museum of Paestum to learn more about the site's history.

After this historical immersion, we will return to the vehicle and cross the plain of the Piana del Sele, known for its buffalo breeding farms where milk is extracted to produce Mozzarella.

We will stop at one of the factories to see the care of the buffaloes and learn about the cheese-making process. A tasting of the product will also be included.

Afterward, we will return to the vehicle and drive back to Salerno, arriving at 4:00 pm.
