Pompeii Excursion
We will meet at Salerno Central Station at the scheduled time. After checking in, we will board a train for a scenic trip to the ruins of Pompeii, with views of the Amalfi Coast.
Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide will provide priority access tickets to the archaeological park and lead us on a two-hour tour of the ancient colony, which was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
During the tour, we will explore ancient Roman streets, visiting domus, theaters, the lupanare, baths, and stores, culminating at the forum, where casts of eruption victims can be observed.
We will learn about the lifestyle, customs, and habits of the ancient Romans, including their leisure activities and various anecdotes about life in the city before its devastation.
At the conclusion of the tour, the guide will provide directions back to the station and offer tips on how to continue the visit on your own if you wish to explore further.
