Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in its homeland with this amazing gastronomic tour of Salerno. You'll taste pizzas, fried fish, cured meats, and delicious sweets.

Description

At the time you choose, we'll meet up next to the port of Salerno. From there, we'll start walking through the historical center on a mission to taste its traditional gastronomy.

Thanks to its strategic location in Campania, Salerno has a wide range of the region's typical products on offer.

Strolling through the streets, we'll encounter several sausage shops. We'll visit one for a small tasting of salami, cheese, and buffalo mozzarella.

The next stop will allow us to enjoy the street food of Salerno. We'll try a portion of cuoppo, a fried fish dish, and the famous anchovy sauce made in the village of Cetara.

The gastronomic tour will also take us to the beautiful exterior of Salerno's cathedral. Nearby, we can taste a slice of pizza and for dessert, sfogliatella, a shell-shaped flaky pastry. As the finishing touch, we'll also have a coffee, a shot of limoncello, or fennel liqueur.

After a 4-hour treat for the tastebuds, we'll end the tour by returning to the original departure point.
