With this ticket, you can explore the fortress freely, including areas such as the common part, the stronghold, and the keep, the last refuge of the fortress.
The site has undergone many reconstructions led by the military engineer Vauban, offering insight into his engineering skills.
Opening Times
The Fort de Salses is open Monday to Sunday:
April 1 to September 30: 10 am to 6:30 pm (uninterrupted)October 1 to March 31: 10 am to 12:45 pm and 2 pm to 5:15 pm
The last access is 45 minutes before closing.
Free Admission
Admission to the Fort de Salses is free for:
Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.
To obtain free admission, visit the ticket office with a valid ID confirming eligibility. Admission is also free for all on the first Sunday of the month from January to March and November to December, and during the third weekend of September.
