Ticket to the Fort de Salses

This ticket allows access to the Fort de Salses, a fortress significant in military architecture and historically contested between Spain and France, ultimately conquered by France in 1642. You can explore various areas such as the common part, the stronghold, and the keep, which served as the last refuge of the fortress. The site has undergone several reconstructions by military engineer Vauban.

Opening times

The Fort de Salses is open Monday to Sunday:

April 1 to September 30: from 10 am to 6:30 pmOctober 1 to March 31: from 10 am to 12:45 pm and from 2 pm to 5:15 pm

On December 24 and 31, it closes at 3:30 pm. Last access is 45 minutes before closing time.

Free admission applies to:

EU youth aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.

To obtain a free admission ticket, present a valid ID at the ticket office. Admission is also free on the first Sunday of the month from January to March and November to December, and the third weekend of September.
