Description
Between 6:30 and 7:10 am, our adventure begins with a pickup in Salta, headed towards the Calchaquí Valleys.
The journey starts in the Lerma Valley and the Quebrada de Escoipe, revealing views of the Yungas forest. We traverse the Cuesta del Obispo, reaching 3457 meters at Piedra del Molino, before descending through the Tin Tin Straight in Los Cardones National Park, arriving at the town of Cachi.
In Cachi, we explore its streets and colonial architecture, providing insight into its heritage. The Pío Pablo Díaz Archaeological Museum features artifacts over 10,000 years old. We will also visit the historic San Jose Church, a notable Spanish colonial temple.
Enjoy some free time in Cachi for lunch on your own before the return journey to Salta, with an anticipated arrival around 6:30 pm.
