Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Salta to commence our day trip to Iruya, a picturesque village in northern Argentina.
First, we'll visit the town of General Güemes, and proceed along the highway into the province of Jujuy and the Quebrada de Humahuaca, the sole route to Iruya.
During our journey, we'll make stops at several towns, including Purmamarca, Tilcara, and Humahuaca. Photographers will be guided to vantage points like Maimará and the Tropic of Capricorn intersection.
Next, we'll pass through Iturbe before taking a winding road up to Abra del Condor, at an altitude of 4,000 meters (13,123 feet).
We will then descend 1,220 meters (4,000 feet) to Iruya, which is nestled in the mountains and was founded in 1753, with agriculture as its primary livelihood.
In Iruya, you will have two hours of free time to eat and explore attractions like the church and the central square. Don't miss the viewpoints La Cruz and El Condor.
After 13 hours of adventure, we'll return you to your hotel in Salta.
