Enjoy the finest music from the north of Argentina on this folkloric tour around Salta. We'll visit various peñas in the city, immersing ourselves in a memorable evening of singing and dancing.
What to Expect
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Salta to start our tour of locations associated with local musicians and poets connected to the rich regional folklore of northern Argentina.
The journey includes visits to iconic sites in Salta, such as the Balderrama, the Paseo de los Poetas, and 9 de Julio square, where we'll see the Gustavo "Cuchi" Leguizamón statue. After exploring the history of this influential artist, one of Salta's foremost folk music composers, we'll continue to the Pajarito Velarde Museum, which honors a key advocate of Salta's folk culture.
Next, we'll tour Salta's primary folkloric peñas along Balcarce Street. At one venue, you'll have the chance to learn the basic steps of gatos, chacareras, zambas, and other traditional dances.
After an enriching 3-hour journey, we'll conclude the tour at your preferred folkloric peña, where you can enjoy dinner and dance. Please note that transfer back to your hotel in Salta is not included.
