Guided Tour of Salta

Between 9:30 am and 10 am, pickup from your hotel in the city centre or the meeting point will occur according to your preference. The first stop will be the Salta Cathedral, known for its construction following a prior earthquake. It is situated at Plaza 9 de Julio, adjacent to the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology, Cuchi Leguizamón sculpture, and the Cabildo of Salta, the best-preserved cabildo in Argentina.

After a 5-minute walk, we will reach the Church of Saint Francis, notable for its striking red-toned façade and towering steeple. The tour continues to the church of San Francisco and convent of San Bernardo, delving into Salta's history, followed by a climb up San Bernardo hill for views of Salta. At the foot of the hill is the monument to General Güemes, a key figure in the Argentinian War of Independence. The tour will proceed to Quebrada de San Lorenzo and conclude at Salta's Artisan Market before returning to your hotel around 1:30 pm.
