Do you know how cigarettes and cigars are made? We'll find out on this tobacco tour through Lerma Valley, one of the main producing areas in Argentina.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salta and depart to the south of the city, where Lerma Valley is located, known as a major tobacco producing area in Argentina.
During the tour, we'll pass through the tobacco plantations in the villages of Lerma Valley, including Cerrillos, Rosario de Lerma, El Carril, and Coronel Moldes. You will have opportunities to take pictures of the landscapes.
In these towns, we'll learn about the methods of tobacco production and its historical evolution, along with the most notable varieties in this region. Afterwards, we will continue towards the Cabra Corral reservoir.
You will have one hour of free time for lunch at the reservoir. After lunch, we'll visit Finca Santa Anita to explore its agricultural and livestock activities. This hacienda includes an archaeological collection and the Tobacco Museum, the first in Argentina.
After visiting the museum, we will return to your hotel in Salta, concluding the tour approximately 8 hours after pickup.
