Quebrada del Toro Trip
Departure is at 9:30 am from the center of Salta, heading northwest along the National Route 51, passing through villages like San Luis, Encón, and Campo Quijano.
In Campo Quijano, known as "the gateway to the Andes,", we will switch to a dirt track parallel to the famous Train to the Clouds, which reaches almost 14,000 ft.
We will encounter the Viaducto del Toro, a bridge providing views of the Quebrada del Toro. This gorge features various Andean canyons and the Lerma Valley.
We will walk along a section of the viaduct for enhanced views of the landscapes of the Quebrada del Toro, known for its ochre, brown, and red mountain tones. If conditions permit, exotic birds may be visible.
