Quebrada del Toro Trip

The Quebrada del Toro is one of the most impressive gorges in northern Argentina. Be seduced by these wonderful landscapes when you take this fantastic half-day trip from Salta.

At 9:30 am, we will depart from the center of Salta and head northwest along the National Route 51, passing through villages such as San Luis, Encón, and Campo Quijano.

In Campo Quijano, known as the "gateway to the Andes", we transition to a dirt track running parallel to the tracks of the Train to the Clouds. This railway ascends to nearly 14,000 ft.

Following the earthen track, we will arrive at the Viaducto del Toro, a bridge providing excellent views of the Quebrada del Toro, with its Andean canyons and the Lerma Valley.

We will walk along part of the viaduct for better views of the landscapes. The area features diverse ochre, brown, and red mountain tones. If conditions allow, we may observe some exotic birds.

After visiting the Viaducto del Toro, we will return to Salta, arriving at 2 pm.

Pick up

The tour includes pick up from hotels in the center of Salta. For those in more remote areas, we will pick you up at the meeting point: 45, Buenos Aires street.
