Quebrada del Toro Trip

The Quebrada del Toro is one of the most impressive gorges in northern Argentina. Be seduced by these wonderful landscapes when you take this fantastic half-day trip from Salta.

At 9:30 am, we will depart from the center of Salta heading northwest along the National Route 51, passing quaint villages like San Luis, Encón, and Campo Quijano.

In Campo Quijano, known as "the gateway to the Andes", we will switch to a dirt track that runs parallel to the famous Train to the Clouds, which ascends to nearly 14,000 ft.

As we navigate the winding earth track, we will reach the majestic Viaducto del Toro, a large bridge with excellent views of the Quebrada del Toro, which features various Andean canyons and the scenic Lerma Valley.

We will walk along a part of the viaduct for a better view of the Quebrada del Toro's landscapes, characterized by shades of ochre, brown, and red. If conditions allow, we may observe exotic birds native to this region.

Following our visit, we will return to the center of Salta, arriving at approximately 2 pm.

Pick up

The tour includes pick up from hotels in the center of Salta. For those in more remote locations, pick up will occur at an alternate meeting point: 45, Buenos Aires street.
