Description
We depart from the center of Salta between 6:30 am and 7:10 am, traveling north through the towns of Yala, Volcán, and Tumbaya, heading towards Cerro de los Siete Colores. A stop will be made at a viewpoint in Purmamarca to view the rainbow mountain.
The journey continues through Cuesta del Lipán, Cuesta del Saladillo, and Abra de Porterillos, where you may observe local wildlife such as vicuñas and llamas. The route ascends to over 13,000 ft above sea level, leading to the Salinas Grandes salt flats.
At the salt flats, you will have 45 minutes of free time to explore. The bright white salt contrasts with the blue sky. Following this, we return to the historic city center of Purmamarca, where you can taste local cuisine (not included).
The trip concludes with our return to Salta, arriving in the city center at approximately 7:30 pm.
