Salinas Grandes Trip

Description

The tour departs from the center of Salta between 6:30 am and 7:10 am, heading north through the towns of Yala, Volcán, and Tumbaya, towards the Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colors). A stop is made at a viewpoint in Purmamarca to appreciate this mountain.

We will continue our journey, crossing the Cuesta del Lipán, Cuesta del Saladillo, and Abra de Porterillos, with opportunities to see local wildlife including vicuñas and llamas. The route ascends to over 13,000 ft above sea level, where the Salinas Grandes salt flats are located.

Participants will have 45 minutes of free time to explore the salt flats. Afterward, we return to Purmamarca to experience local cuisine (not included).

The trip concludes with a return to Salta, arriving at approximately 7:30 pm.

Pick up

The tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Salta. For those in more remote locations, a meeting point is available at 45 Buenos Aires Street.
