Salinas Grandes Trip

Description

We will leave from the center of Salta between 6:30 am and 7:10 am. The tour continues north, passing through the towns of Yala, Volcán, and Tumbaya, heading towards the Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of the Seven Colors). A stop will be made at a viewpoint in Purmamarca to admire this mountain.

Following this, we will cross the Cuesta del Lipán, Cuesta del Saladillo, and Abra de Porterillos. Observations of local wildlife, such as vicuñas and llamas, are possible. The ascent will reach over 13,000 ft above sea level, where the Salinas Grandes salt flats are located.

You will have 45 minutes of free time to explore the salt flats. Afterward, we will return to the historic city center of Purmamarca for a chance to taste the local cuisine (not included).

The tour concludes with a return to Salta, arriving in the city center around 7:30 pm.
