This experience will guide you from Salta to San Lorenzo, where an exciting bike tour through stunning nature awaits, including highlights such as the Arteaga Gorge and the Eastern Cordillera. You have the flexibility to select your preferred cycling route!

San Lorenzo Bike Tour



Upon booking, you'll have the opportunity to choose from several bike tours. Each route features pickup from your hotel in Salta at the designated time, transportation to the activity location, an experienced English-speaking guide, as well as the rental of a bike and helmet.



It's important to consider an additional half hour for transport time in relation to the tour duration. The journey from Salta to the activity site takes approximately 15 minutes, and the return trip to your accommodation follows the same timeframe.

Arteaga Gorge Tour (2 hours)



Your adventure begins as we depart from Salta toward the outskirts of San Lorenzo. There, we will encounter Las Costas farm, where the bicycle tour through the Arteaga Gorge will commence.



Our route will lead us through a water reserve that features crystal clear streams, essential for nurturing the distinctive native flora. Throughout the journey, we will observe various landscape transformations, shifting from a traditional mountain forest to what is known as the transition jungle.

Potrero Grande Tour (3 hours)



This particular route focuses on the enchanting area of Potrero Grande, a region safeguarded by the mountains of Salta province.



During the bike tour, we will explore the impressive scenery of Selva Montana, recognized for its rich botanical variety, featuring species like walnut trees, matos, laurales, and horco molles. While cycling, you’ll also appreciate the delightful aromas of bromeliads, orchids, and other like plants.



We will pause at multiple points to admire the pastures where the renowned Argentinean horses graze in the province.

Uriburu and Cordillera Oriental Tour (7 hours)



This bike tour represents the most challenging route among the three options. However, for those with cycling experience, the journey is sure to be rewarding.



We will start our ride towards Uriburu, at the base of the Eastern Cordillera. From this point, we will embark on our ride—initially along the mountain range surrounding San Lorenzo before following the river of the Astilleros ravine.



The path involves ascending steep inclines until we reach an impressive altitude of 2200 meters (7,220 feet) above sea level. The views from this height are absolutely stunning! We will take a moment to enjoy a picnic lunch that you will have brought along, before returning to the starting point and then heading back to your hotel in Salta.
