San Lorenzo Bike Tour

In this activity, we'll take you from Salta to San Lorenzo for a bike tour through natural areas like the Arteaga Gorge and the Eastern Cordillera. You can choose your preferred cycling route.

San Lorenzo Bike Tour

Upon reservation, you can select from the following bike tours. All routes include pickup at your hotel in Salta, transportation to the activity site, an English-speaking guide, and bike + helmet rental.

Please note that 30 minutes will be added to the indicated tour duration for transport. The one-way trip from Salta to the activity site is 15 minutes, and the return trip is also 15 minutes.

Arteaga Gorge Tour (2 hours)

We'll start by traveling from Salta to the outskirts of San Lorenzo, beginning our bike tour at Las Costas farm through Arteaga Gorge.

We'll cross a water reserve with crystal clear streams supporting unique native vegetation. The route will show various landscapes, transitioning from a mountain forest to a transition jungle.

Departure times: daily at 10 am and 3 pm.

Potrero Grande Tour (3 hours)

This route occurs in Potrero Grande, a protected area by the mountains of Salta.

During the tour, we'll traverse stunning landscapes of Selva Montana, observing diverse species like walnut trees, matos, laurales, or horco molles. We will also stop to see the pastures of Argentinean horses.

Departure times: daily at 10 am and 3 pm.

Uriburu and Cordillera Oriental Tour (7 hours)

This is the most technically difficult route of the three. Experienced cyclists will enjoy it.

We will start at Uriburu, at the foot of the Eastern Cordillera, cycling along the mountain range surrounding San Lorenzo, and bordering the river of the Astilleros ravine.

After ascending to 2200 meters (7,220 feet), we will take a break for a picnic lunch and then return to the starting point before heading back to your hotel in Salta.
