Are you a nature enthusiast? If you're in Salta, you can't miss this breathtaking hiking route through San Lorenzo, the most beautiful natural area in northern Argentina.

San Lorenzo Hiking Tour

We have 2 different hiking routes in San Lorenzo available for you to choose between. Both activities include pickup at the scheduled time at your hotel in Salta, transportation to and from San Lorenzo, and a knowledgeable guide.

Lunch is not included. However, we'll make a stop during the hike for you to have lunch on your own. Remember to bring a picnic!

Option 1: 3-Hour Hike

On this easier hiking trip, we'll walk between 8 and 10 kilometers (5 - 6.2 miles) along various trails through the forests of Argentine Andes called yungas. We will appreciate local plants, such as epiphytes and different vines. The hike will lead us to the San Lorenzo ravine, following the river upstream to enjoy panoramic views of the city of Salta.

Departure times: 10 am and 3 pm

Option 2: 7-Hour Hike

This more difficult hike is 19 kilometers (12 miles) long. We will ascend through the San Lorenzo ravine towards the high mountains of the Eastern Cordillera, crossing the mountain jungle to observe local species like ceibos, walnut trees, and cedars. We will reach an altitude of 2400 meters (7,900 feet) for the best views of the Lerma Valley.
