Do you like trying new flavours? At this cooking class in Salvador de Bahía, you'll learn to make traditional Afro-Brazilian dishes with a local family.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Salvador de Bahía. We'll first visit the Fish Market to purchase ingredients for the class, discussing traditional Bahían recipes, particularly the famous moqueca, an Afro-Brazilian speciality.
Next, we'll head to the Rio Vermelho Market to find fresh vegetables and fruit for an authentic caipirinha, named after the caipiras, the native people of São Paulo's rural area.
With our shopping completed, we'll visit the house of an Afro-Brazilian family to begin cooking. After the class, we'll taste our creations, which include fish moqueca, beans, rice, farofa, and plantain jam.
After a total of 5 hours, we'll conclude the experience and say our goodbyes at the starting point.
