On this cultural tour of Salvador, we'll enjoy Bahian tradition by visiting the old house of the writer Jorge Amado, as well as spaces dedicated to the painter Carybé and the photographer Pierre Verger.
Bahia Culture Tour
After picking you up between 12:30 pm and 2 pm at your hotel in Salvador de Bahia, we'll begin a tour that immerses us in Bahian culture.
First, we will go to the Casa do Rio Vermelho, where Jorge Amado and his wife Zélia Gattai lived. Amado had a close friendship with Carybé and Pierre Verger, who promoted baianidade, an artistic movement.
Next, we will visit the Santa Maria fort and the Verger space, dedicated to Pierre Verger, who captured customs and traditions across various countries, including Brazil.
Our next stop will be the San Diego Fort, home to the Carybé space. His work includes ceramics, murals, sculptures, and engravings, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
We will conclude the tour and return to your hotel in Salvador de Bahia, arriving at 6:30 pm.
