Join us on this day trip to Cachoeira to discover the rich history of the state of Bahia. We'll visit its colonial houses and emblematic places such as the Samba de Roda Museum.
Cachoeira Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salvador to start our day trip to Cachoeira.
Our first stop will be the town of Santo Amaro, where we'll see its church, market, and colonial mansions. There, we'll visit the Samba de Roda Museum, commemorating Bahia's music and dance.
Next, we'll arrive at Cachoeira, a National Heritage Site that has preserved its historical and architectural essence. Highlights include the churches of the Third Order of Mount Carmel and of Our Lady of the Rosary.
We'll also visit the house of the Sisterhood of Our Lady of the Good Death, which emphasizes the importance of racial struggle in Brazil.
Our tour will continue as we cross the Paraguaçu River to São Felix. Here, we'll have a typical lunch consisting of local cuisine.
After lunch, we'll visit a Danneman cigar factory, established in the 19th century, to learn about traditional cigars.
Finally, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point 10 hours after the beginning of the activity.
