This walking tour of Pelourinho explores the African heritage in Salvador de Bahia. Starting at the Cathedral Basilica of San Salvador, we delve into the influence of African culture in the Pelourinho neighborhood.

We visit Terreiro de Jesus to understand the history of colonization by Jesuit Missions and Portuguese settlers. At the Cross of Sao Francisco, we learn about a 19th-century men's organization aiding the black community's liberation struggle. The tour highlights African cultural elements like samba and capoeira.

Our last stop is Escola do Olodum, a center of African descent emphasizing Carnival's significance in the city. The tour concludes after three hours at the Cross of San Francisco.
