Tour Highlights
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to commence our exploration of the Candomblé religion. Our first stop will be the Afro-Brazilian Museum, where we will explore the historical tapestry of the state and its cultural evolution following the era of slavery. Next, we will proceed to the Pierre Verger Gallery, showcasing a visual narrative of this transformative period through the photographic archives of the renowned French anthropologist.
Continuing our tour, we will visit a Terreiro, a sacred sanctuary where the vibrant rituals of Candomblé take place. Here, we'll gain insight into the spiritual intricacies and ancestral customs that define this belief system, learning about the connection between nature's spirit and the human soul, along with information on orishas, voduns, and nkisis.
To conclude our experience, we'll take a guided tour of the Liberdades neighborhood, observing the urban and cultural transformation of the favela and quilombola communities.
As our journey ends, we will return you to the start point four hours after the adventure began.
