Tour Highlights
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Salvador de Bahia to commence our exploration of the Candomblé religion. Prepare to immerse yourself in the African belief system prevalent in Northeast Brazil.
Our first stop will be the Afro-Brazilian Museum, where we'll explore the historical background and cultural evolution following the era of slavery. Next, we'll visit the Pierre Verger Gallery, featuring a visual narrative by the French anthropologist through his photographic archives.
Continuing our tour, we'll visit a Terreiro, a sacred space for Candomblé rituals. Here, we'll learn about the spiritual intricacies and customs that define this belief system, including reverence for nature's spirit and connection to the soul. Discover insights about orishas, voduns, and nkisis during our exploration.
To conclude our experience, we'll take a guided tour of the Liberdades neighborhood, observing the cultural transformation of the favela and quilombola communities.
Our journey will end at the tour's starting point four hours after it began.
