Bavarian Alps Trip
At the indicated time, we'll depart from Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1 in Salzburg, and head to the southwestern corner of Bavaria where Germany borders Austria and the Czech Republic.
Our first stop will be in the mountainous area of Obersalzberg, a site that served as a holiday retreat for Adolf Hitler. He spent extended periods at the Berghof residence located here.
We'll continue through Berchtesgaden National Park and stop at Königssee, known as the "king's lake," to appreciate the scenic beauty. The rugged peaks of the Bavarian Alps, along with the red domes of St. Bartholomew's Church by the lake, create a stunning view.
Next, we will visit the town of Berchtesgaden for a glimpse of alpine life. The contrast of green valleys and snow-capped mountains with traditional ochre houses forms a captivating landscape.
After a brief period in Berchtesgaden for exploration, we will return to Salzburg, with arrival scheduled 4 hours after departure.
