Bavarian Alps Trip
At the indicated time, we'll depart from Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1 in Salzburg and head to the southwestern corner of Bavaria, where Germany borders Austria and the Czech Republic.
Our first stop will be in the mountainous area of Obersalzberg, a preferred holiday retreat for Adolf Hitler, who spent long periods in the Berghof residence among these mountains.
We will continue through the green alpine meadows of Berchtesgaden National Park and stop at the shores of Königssee, known as the "king's lake," to appreciate the beauty of the setting. Notable sights include the red domes of St. Bartholomew's Church on the lake's shore.
Next, we'll visit the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden, known for its lush valleys and traditional ochre-toned houses. After some free time to explore Berchtesgaden, we'll return to Salzburg, with arrival expected 4 hours after pickup.
