Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1 and leave Salzburg to drive to the Berchtesgaden salt mines.

On the way, we'll pass the Königseeache river and the mountainous Obersalzberg area. Arriving at the mine, we'll don miner’s costumes to enter this incredible subway world.

As we walk through the corridors used by the workers, we'll explain how this mineral was extracted, detailing the day-to-day life of the miners and the risks they faced. The tour includes sliding down the mining slides, a unique experience.

We will also board a wooden raft for a ride on a salt lake, followed by a journey through the subway labyrinths on a mining train before returning to the surface.

Before heading back to Salzburg, we'll stop in the village of Berchtesgaden, concluding the tour in a total of 4 hours.
