Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1 and leave Salzburg to drive to the Berchtesgaden salt mines.

On the way, we'll pass the Königseeache river and the mountainous Obersalzberg area. Upon arrival, we'll don miner’s costumes to enter the subway world of the mine.

While walking through the corridors, we'll explain the mineral extraction process, the day-to-day life of miners, and the risks they faced. You'll have the opportunity to slide down the mining slides.

To conclude the visit, we'll board a wooden raft for a ride on a salt lake and travel through the labyrinths again on a mining train before returning outdoors.

We will make a stop in the village of Berchtesgaden before heading back to Salzburg, concluding a total of 4 hours for the tour.
