Eagle’s Nest Day Trip
We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and travel by bus to the German border, departing from Salzburg. The one-hour journey includes traversing the Bavarian Alps with picturesque landscapes.
Upon arrival, we'll access the Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet). This site was constructed as a gift from the Nazi party for Hitler's 50th birthday.
The Kehlsteinhaus is reached through mountain-side tunnels leading to a brass elevator used by Nazi leaders. The historical significance of the meetings held here during World War II will be discussed by our guide while we explore the complex.
We will also enjoy views of the cliffs from the site, combining history and nature. Before returning to Salzburg, we will stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden for approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore the area.
After a 4.5-hour tour, we will return to our starting point.
