Eagle’s Nest Day Trip
We'll gather at the designated time at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse and board a bus heading south towards the German border, departing from Salzburg. The one-hour journey will take us through the Bavarian Alps.
Upon arrival, we will enter the Eagle's Nest, located at an altitude of 1820 meters (6,000 feet). This site was built as a gift from the Nazi party for Hitler's 50th birthday.
Access to the Kehlsteinhaus involves traversing mountain-side tunnels to reach the brass elevator that transported leaders to meet with the Führer.
During our exploration, the guide will provide insights into the significant meetings held at the Eagle's Nest during World War II and highlight the stunning views from the complex.
Before returning to Salzburg, we will stop in the German town of Berchtesgaden for approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore.
After a 4.5-hour tour, we will return to our starting point and conclude the trip.
