Join us to discover the past and the charm of Mozart's city on this guided tour through Salzburg, a World Heritage Site.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at 3 Rainerstraße. From there, we'll head to Kurgurten, a garden next to Mirabell Palace, a baroque building built in the 17th century. We'll enter the ornate gardens to discover mythological statues and the sets of the 60's musical film The Sound of Music. We'll then walk along the Salzach River until we reach the old town, passing Mozart's residence.

A few steps away on Getreidegasse, you'll find Mozart's birthplace, now a museum. Our guided tour will take us to Kollegienkirche, designed by architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and a stage for operas since the 1970s.

Next, we'll arrive at Residenzplatz to admire Residenzbrunnen and Salzburg Cathedral, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was baptized. This church, rebuilt in the 17th century, is one of the city's most emblematic buildings.

As we discuss the history of this square, we'll pass by the Mariensäule fountain on our way to Domplatz and the sphere on Kapitelplatz. At Kapitelplatz, the large sphere in vivid gold tones adds a contemporary touch to the historic setting.

You'll also see the Kapitelschwemme, where horses used to drink and rest. From here, we'll get a panoramic view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the oldest fortresses in Central Europe. Our 2-hour guided tour will conclude at this last point.
