Enjoy the beautiful and hidden spots in the north of the Dominican Republic on this day trip to the beaches of Onda and Ermitaño from Samana or Las Terrenas.

Day Trip Options

During the booking process, you can choose between two options. Both include transport by speedboat, an English-speaking tour assistant, and lunch. Please read the details for each option below:

Day Trip from Samaná (5 Hours)

At the designated time, we'll meet at El Valle de Samana Beach. Once gathered, we'll board a speedboat to explore the northern part of the island.

Our first stop is Ermitaño Beach, which features a cove nearly inaccessible on foot and surrounded by thick vegetation, home to a variety of species, such as iguanas and white-necked crows. The name of this spot is linked to a French pirate.

Next, we will continue to Onda Beach, located in a small bay with coconut palm trees and turquoise waters, ideal for swimming and observing underwater fauna.

At noon, you’ll enjoy a typical regional lunch, including fish, chicken, potatoes, fried plantain, coconut water, and mineral water.

Finally, we'll return to our original meeting point after a total of 5 hours.

Day Trip from Las Terrenas (7 Hours)

We’ll meet at Las Ballenas Beach in Las Terrenas. From here, we’ll sail on a speedboat to discover the northern coast.

Our first stop will be Astillero Beach, perfect for swimming. We will then proceed to Morón Beach, a lesser-known spot for pictures and exploration.

Next, we’ll visit Onda Beach, inviting for a dip in the turquoise waters. Our last stop is Ermitaño Beach, a pristine gem with the chance to explore nearby reefs. You will enjoy a barbecue lunch prepared with seasonal products.

After fully enjoying this day trip, we will start our return to the initial starting point after a total of 7 hours.
