Whale Watching + Cayo Levantado Day Trip

Humpback whale watching is one of the principal tourist attractions of Samaná. Experience it firsthand while relaxing on the beaches of Cayo Levantado.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can select from the following options.

3.5-Hour Tour

This option focuses exclusively on whale watching in the protected area. Departing from Samaná port, you will spend 2 to 2.5 hours observing these animals in their natural habitat. Important: This tour does not include food or a visit to Cayo Levantado.

7-Hour Tour

Meeting at Avenida La Marina in Samaná at the designated time, you will board a catamaran and set out into the bay. This trip offers a thrilling whale watching experience as we drop anchor in the ocean and wait for humpback whales to surface. Every year, between January and March, around 3,000 humpback whales breed in these warm waters.

After the whale watching, we will head to Cayo Levantado. Once there, you will have free time to relax on the beach. After enjoying a buffet lunch on the beach, we will return to the catamaran for the journey back, completing the tour in a total of 7 hours.

Whale Watching from Punta Cana

A whale watching trip from Samana Bay is also available, departing from Punta Cana for those staying in that area.
