Whale Watching + Cayo Levantado Day Trip

Humpback whale watching is one of the great tourist attractions of Samaná. Find out for yourself when you take this tour and relax on the beaches of Cayo Levantado.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose between the following options.

3.5-Hour Tour

If you're looking to just whale watch in this protected area, this is the tour option for you. We'll set sail from Samaná port and enjoy watching these fascinating animals in their natural habitat. We'll spend 2 to 2.5 hours in the sanctuary, learning all about these aquatic mammals.

Important: this tour does not include food or a visit to Cayo Levantado.

7-Hour Tour

After meeting at the Avenida La Marina in Samaná at the designated time, we will board a catamaran, put on our life jackets, and head out into the bay.

During the trip, you will enjoy whale watching. We will drop anchor in the middle of the ocean and wait for the humpback whales to surface. Every year, between January and March, about 3,000 humpback whales breed in these warm waters.

Then we will continue to Cayo Levantado, where you will have some free time to relax on one of the beaches. After enjoying a buffet lunch on the beach, we will return to the catamaran to start the way back. We will be back at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.
