In this coffee tour at Finca Tierra Activa, we'll learn about the picking, drying and roasting process. You'll even be able to pick the coffee beans yourself!

Finca Tierra Activa Coffee Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet at Finca Tierra Activa, a women-run ecological hacienda where we'll learn the secrets of coffee production. After being welcomed with some harvested fruit, we'll start the coffee experience by exploring the farm's coffee cultivation areas. You'll receive a basket, a sack, and a hat for coffee picking under the supervision of the farm's owners.

Next, we'll observe the fermentation process with the pulping machine and coffee washing tanks. We'll then visit the drying area and select the best quality beans that meet the organic coffee certification seal requirements for international market sales. Participants will prepare an artisanal cup of organic coffee, roasting about 30 grams in a clay pot and grinding it in a traditional mill. We’ll enjoy a cup of pure Colombian coffee with tortas or corn arepas. The tour lasts two hours.

If you select the tour with a meal, you will receive breakfast (eggs, fruit, arepas, homemade bread, coffee or hot chocolate), lunch (starter, main course, dessert and a drink), or dinner (starter, main course and a drink), depending on your booking time.

Tour with pickup

If you wish to be picked up at your hotel in San Agustín and returned after the activity, we recommend choosing the tour with pickup.
