Tierra Activa Farm Tour

On this visit to the Tierra Activa farm, you'll spend a day with a local family, who will show you around their farm. You'll become immersed in their way of life, the land, and the rural traditions.

Tierra Activa Farm Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Tierra Activa farm, where the hosts, mother and daughter, will greet you and offer freshly harvested fruit.

You will explore the life on the farm, including the kitchen with a wood stove and observe the preparation of sancocho, a traditional stew.

You will be provided with hats, baskets, machetes, and walking sticks for a walk along the farm's trails while learning about various plants and vegetables. There will be opportunities to taste fruit and climb a treehouse for stunning views of the landscapes in Huila.

You will learn about plant cultivation and observe a prayer to Pachamama, thanking her for growth. The tour will continue through the farm's vegetable gardens and aromatic and medicinal plant crops, culminating at Tierra Activa's coffee plantation to witness the fermentation, selection, and drying of beans.

The activity concludes with a cup of organic coffee or cocoa along with bread and handmade arepas. If you choose the meal option, a menu with products from the farm will be served. The experience ends two hours after the tour begins.
