Join us for a delightful baking workshop at Tierra Activa, located just a short distance from San Agustín, where you will create traditional recipes using organic ingredients sourced directly from the farm!

Traditional Baking Experience at Tierra Activa

Visit Finca Tierra Activa, situated approximately 3 miles (5 km) from San Agustín, and immerse yourself in this engaging workshop focused on traditional baking!

We’ll begin by donning our aprons and hats, ready to dive into the process. Participants will prepare artisan breads and cakes following age-old techniques, using ingredients such as wheat flour, corn, canna starch, cassava, taro, or puruto. In addition, we’ll incorporate wholesome elements like quinoa, oats, or flaxseed.

Once we mix the ingredients, we will shape the dough or batter according to our artistic vision and place it in the wood-fired oven. While the bread or cake rests for about 30 minutes, we will take this opportunity to explore the various plants cultivated on the farm.

When our baked goods are complete, we will savor our delicious creations, paired with a refreshing drink of your choice, including coffee, chocolate, or tea.

Your enriching baking workshop at Tierra Activa will conclude after 2 hours of hands-on experience.

Food Options

If you choose the package that includes meals, based on your selected time, you will enjoy either breakfast (eggs, fruit, arepas, homemade bread, and coffee or chocolate), lunch (with a starter, main dish, dessert, and a drink), or dinner (comprising a starter, main course, and a drink).
