2, 3, or 4-Night Stay at Cuyabeno Reserve

During your trip to Ecuador, visit the Cuyabeno Reserve to explore the Ecuadorian Amazon's biodiversity.

What to Expect

We will pick you up by bus from the meeting point in Quito between 11 pm and 11:30 pm for an all-night journey to Cuyabeno Bridge, the starting point of our adventure.

Day 1

Upon arrival at Cuyabeno Bridge, we will board canoes to sail down the Cuyabeno River to the Dolphin Lodge for our first night. After a 2-hour canoeing trip, we will have lunch and spend the afternoon at the lodge. In the late afternoon, we will hike around Laguna Grande for sunset viewing before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will hike along the reserve's routes for 3 hours, discussing local species. Following lunch at the lodge, you will have 4 hours of free time in the Amazon. Later, we will canoe along the riverbanks to observe wildlife and take a night walk to see nocturnal animals.

We will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

We will start the day with a birdwatching activity before breakfast. After breakfast, we will return by canoe to Cuyabeno Bridge, expecting to arrive in Quito between 8 and 9 pm.

Excursion with 3 Nights of Accommodation

This option includes 3 nights of accommodation and follows the same itinerary for the first 2 days. On the 3rd day, after breakfast, we will walk for 1 hour to visit an indigenous community and learn about their daily routines. We will have lunch and meet the community's shaman. On the 4th day, we will return to Cuyabeno Bridge after breakfast.

Excursion with 4 Nights of Accommodation

This option includes 4 nights of accommodation and follows a similar itinerary, with an additional canoe trip to Canangueno on the 5th day. On the 6th day, we will head to Cuyabeno Bridge for the trip back to Quito.

Accommodation

This tour includes 2, 3, or 4 nights of accommodation at the Dolphin Lodge in double or triple rooms with full room and board. Note that the first night involves travel on the bus.
