Mindo Day Trip

Enjoy a day surrounded by nature in a magical forest declared a Biosphere Reserve with this Mindo Day Trip. You'll be immersed in the tranquillity of the Ecuadorian jungle while you discover its varied fauna and flora.

Mindo Day Trip

After picking you up at your hotel in Quito between 5:15 and 6:00 am, we'll head off to Mindo. The journey will take 2 hours, with a stop halfway for breakfast and a chance to stretch your legs.

Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour of the town. Explore wooden and bamboo houses, cobbled streets, and handicraft shops.

Next, we’ll enter the Chocó Andino Reserve jungle. To start our route, we'll cross a mountain on the Tarabita de Mindo, a cable car providing stunning views.

Once on the mainland, we’ll hike for 45 minutes through the Sanctuary of the Waterfalls, where you will see up to 7 waterfalls and experience the rich biodiversity of the reserve.

Afterward, we will return on the Tarabita and arrive at the village where you will have 3 hours of free time to eat and explore. At 4:30 pm, we will return to your hotel in Quito, arriving around 7:00 pm.

Hotel pick up

This tour includes pick-up from hotels in the Quito Metropolitan District. For accommodations in the southern area (Chillogallo to Guamaní) or northern area (San Antonio to Cotocollao), a supplement of 10 USD per person will be required on the day of the excursion.
