Experience a day immersed in nature within a breathtaking forest designated as a Biosphere Reserve through this Mindo Day Trip. You will find yourself surrounded by the serene beauty of the Ecuadorian jungle while exploring its diverse wildlife and plant life.

Mindo Day Trip

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Quito between 5:15 and 6:00 am. We will make our way to Mindo, with a travel time of approximately 2 hours. A stop will be made along the way for breakfast and a chance to stretch your legs.

Upon entering Mindo, a guided exploration of the town awaits you. Marvel at the wooden and bamboo constructions, stroll along the cobblestone streets, and browse through local handicraft shops—a delightful experience!

Next, we will venture further into the lush landscape of the Chocó Andino Reserve. Before embarking on our trek, we will traverse a mountain using the renowned Tarabita de Mindo, a cable car offering breathtaking views from above.

Once on solid ground, a 45-minute hike through the Sanctuary of the Waterfalls will unveil up to 7 stunning waterfalls! This trail presents an opportunity to engage with the vibrant biodiversity of the reserve.

Afterward, we will take the Tarabita back, arriving at the village where you will have 3 hours of leisure time. Feel free to use this time to enjoy a meal and continue your exploration of Mindo’s enchanting offerings.

We will begin our return journey to your hotel in Quito at 4:30 pm, aiming to arrive around 7:00 pm.

This excursion includes pick-up from accommodations within the Quito Metropolitan District. Please note that if you are located in certain areas, an additional fee of $10 per person will be required on the day of the trip: from Chillogallo to Guamaní in the southern area, and from San Antonio to Cotocollao in the northern area.
