Papallacta Hot Springs Day Trip

The hot springs of Papallacta are a key attraction in Ecuador, known for its spa pools and natural surroundings, making it a recommended visit from Quito.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will be arranged from your hotel in Quito, and we will head to the Papallacta Hot Springs, located 41 mi (67 km) east of the capital in the Andes.

During the journey, scenery will include mountain landscapes and the possibility of spotting local fauna, such as the spectacled bear. A brief stop is included at the Quijos viewpoint to view the Antisana volcano.

Upon arrival after approximately 1.5 hours, you'll be introduced to Papallacta, in the province of Napo, known for its role as a primary source of drinking water for Quito.

The highlight will be the renowned thermal complex, where you will have 3 hours to enjoy various volcanic water pools, recognized for their therapeutic benefits, with views of the Cayambe volcano. Additional amenities include access to the circuit of steam caves, and lunch is available at the complex's restaurant offering local cuisine.

After the day, transportation will return you to Quito, concluding the trip with drop-off at your hotel, totaling 6 hours.
