Papallacta Hot Springs Day Trip

The hot springs of Papallacta are a key attraction in Ecuador, known for its spa pools and natural environment, making it a popular destination from Quito.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, you will be picked up from your hotel in Quito for a trip to the Papallacta Hot Springs, located 41 mi (67 km) east of the capital.

The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours, during which you will pass through mountain landscapes and may see local fauna such as the spectacled bear. A stop will be made at the Quijos viewpoint to view the volcano of Antisana.

Upon arrival in Papallacta, you will have 3 hours to enjoy the thermal complex with various volcanic water pools known for their therapeutic properties and views of the volcano of Cayambe. Access to the circuit of steam caves is also included, and lunch is available for purchase at the complex's restaurant.

After enjoying the hot springs, the trip concludes with a return to Quito, where you will be dropped off at your hotel after a total of 6 hours.
