Quilotoa Andean Communities Tour
- 11 Stunden
Join us on an excursion from Quito to explore the Andean communities of Quilotoa, showcasing volcanic landscapes and traditional villages.
Description
We will meet at your selected point in Quito to start the tour of the Andean communities of Quilotoa. First, we will visit the Tigua region, known for its small farming communities and artistic residents who create paintings on sheepskin.
Next, we will head to the community of Zumbahua, where we will enjoy views of the Toachi river canyon, formed by a geological fault thousands of years ago.
Our final stop will be the community of Quilotoa, featuring the Quilotoa lagoon, celebrated for its emerald green color. We will embark on a 45-minute hike to the lagoon and can then relax, or rent a kayak for exploration.
Afterwards, we will have a delicious lunch including a starter, main course, and dessert. You will have free time to explore Quilotoa and its lagoon before we conclude our 11-hour tour by returning to Quito.
