With this visit to a traditional market and the Guayasamín House Museum, we'll explore Quito and the works of an important Ecuadorian artist.

Quito Market & Guayasamín House & Museum Tour

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Quito and head to one of the city's traditional markets.

Upon entry, you'll find a vibrant flower stall featuring the "best roses in the world", known for lasting up to 20 days after being picked due to ideal temperatures and sunlight. Additionally, you'll encounter a variety of fresh fruits, including papayas, custard apples, limes, and passion fruit available for tasting.

The tour includes a visit to the typical food area and the 'limpias' section, observing spiritual healings with plants gathered from riverbanks. We'll also visit the area dedicated to fine aroma cocoa to understand its production and benefits.

We will then travel to the bohemian neighbourhood of Guápulo to view the Pichincha volcano and Pasochoa from a scenic viewpoint. The final stop will be the Guayasamín House Museum, where you will explore the themes in this artist's work, including poverty, the Mexican Revolution, and historical conflicts.

After four hours, we will return you to your hotel.
