With this visit to a traditional market and the Guayasamín House Museum, we'll explore Quito and one of the most important Ecuadorian artists of the modern era.

Quito Market & Guayasamín House & Museum Tour

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in central Quito and set off to one of the city's traditional markets.

Upon entering, you'll see a flower stall showcasing the "best roses in the world," which last in perfect condition for up to 20 days after being picked. You can also try juicy fruits like papayas, custard apples, limes, and passion fruit.

The tour will include a visit to the typical food area and the 'limpias' section to observe traditional spiritual healings using plants from riverbanks. Additionally, we'll explore the fine aroma cocoa area to learn about its production and benefits.

Afterward, we'll head to the bohemian neighbourhood of Guápulo to view the Pichincha volcano and Pasochoa from a viewpoint. We will then visit the Guayasamín House Museum, where you can learn about the artist's work, focusing on themes like poverty, the Mexican Revolution, the crisis, and the Spanish Civil War.

After four hours of experience, we will return you to your hotel.

This tour includes hotel pickup from your hotel in Quito's hotel zone. If your hotel is outside this area, you must make your own way to the Hilton Colon Hotel.
