When making a reservation, you can choose between 2 options. Both include an English-speaking guide and the mentioned tastings and last between 2 and 2.5 hours. These are the two options available:
Pearl District food tour
Starting in Pearl Parkway, we'll commence this Pearl District food tour, an area in San Antonio where history and creativity combine. We'll walk its main streets in search of the best food offers.
We'll visit unique restaurants and original beer houses from the 19th century. The Pearl District is one of San Antonio's neighbourhoods with the most history. We'll visit the old Boiler House, where we'll try some of the most traditional Tex-Mex dishes.
Then, we'll go to The Larder, one of the most popular places with locals, to try some gourmet products. Additionally, we'll enjoy the atmosphere around the Hotel Emma and discover its iconic beer house.
We'll walk along the San Antonio River's edge and spot the many bars and restaurants in this area, known for its street food.
To finish, we'll head to a bar in a century-old train wagon for a delicious ice cream dessert.
Central San Antonio food tour
If you want to discover the history of San Antonio via its food, this is the tour for you. After meeting at Alamo Plaza, we'll explore the best bars in the city's centre, focusing on Tex-Mex food.
We'll share the history of the Alamo Mission while walking along the riverway. Near here, we'll visit a restaurant to try BBQ tacos and the famous Big Red. The tour includes delicacies at The Esquire Tavern and tacos in a well-known bar.
Additionally, we'll enjoy an ice cream that Bill Clinton loved, noted as "one of the greatest treasures of American life."
