Discover magnificent Andean forests and fascinating species of mountain birds on this trip to the Yanacocha Reserve from Quito.
Yanacocha Reserve Tour
We'll pick you up from the meeting point in Quito at 7 am and set off for the Yanacocha Reserve. This area, north of Quito, is known for its Polylepis forests. The lush forests and humid climate attract many high-altitude birds, such as the masked flowerpiercer and the tororoí rufos. There is also the largest community of hummingbirds in the country, with over 50 different species.
At midday, we'll stop to enjoy a snack, which will include a quesadilla, chulips chocos, and a soft drink or water. At the end of the tour, we'll drop you off at the meeting point in Quito at around 1 pm.
Pick up
This trip includes pick up from the following hotels in Quito's historic centre: Hotel Casa El Edén, Portal de Cantuña, Casa Gangotena, San Blas, and Casa Foch. If you aren't staying at these hotels, we'll meet on Calle Vicente Ramón Roca E8-57.
