See Gran Canaria in a fun new way and discover one of its most impressive natural monuments on this hiking tour of the Arco del Coronadero from San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Arco del Coronadero Hiking
At 9:15 am, we'll meet at Avenida de la Unión Europea in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. From here, we'll set off on a 7 km trekking route that will take us through the deep ravines of southern Gran Canaria.
We'll walk along the paths of the Amurga Massif, observing various cacti and the ruins of pre-Hispanic settlements. Information about the island's indigenous inhabitants will be provided as we pass by ancient caves and temples.
Crossing desert landscapes and walking alongside the steep walls of the Barranco Hondo, we will reach the Arco del Coronadero, a significant natural rock formation, and learn about its origin millions of years ago. Photo opportunities will be available.
After enjoying our time at the natural arch, we'll return, concluding the hiking route at 2 pm at the starting point in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
