Arco del Coronadero Hiking
At 9:15 am, we'll meet at Avenida de la Unión Europea in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. From here, we'll set off on a 7 km trekking route that will take us through the deep ravines of southern Gran Canaria. The Arco del Coronadero awaits us!
We'll walk along the paths of the Amurga Massif, admiring various cacti and spotting ruins of pre-Hispanic settlements. We'll learn about the island's indigenous inhabitants as we pass by ancient caves and temples.
Crossing desert landscapes and walking alongside the steep stone walls of the Barranco Hondo, we will finally reach the Arco del Coronadero, a remarkable natural rock formation. We'll discover its origins and take plenty of photos.
After our time at the natural arch, we'll start our return. The hiking route will conclude at 2 pm back at the starting point in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
